Plockton
Sitting on the east side of a sheltered promontory (ploc) at the seaward entrance to Loch Carron, Plockton is bounded on the north by the peninsula of Applecross, on the east by the unroaded tracts of Attadale and Glenaffric, on the south by Glenelg and the equally remote Knoydart, and on the west by the Isle of Skye.
