Welcome to Sgoil Chiùil na Gàidhealtachd, the National Centre of Excellence in Traditional Music. We offer top class tuition and an all-round, in-depth experience in traditional music, which includes individual tuition, groupwork, workshops and masterclasses, performing, recording, and the history and background of the music.

We provide tuition in bagpipes, fiddle, accordion, clàrsach, piano, guitar, whistle, flute, and Gaelic and Scots song. Our students perform in a wide range of settings both at home and abroad, and we make a professional quality CD every year in our own studio.

Entry is by audition, and any secondary school age pupil resident in Scotland can apply. Successful applicants become residential pupils of Plockton High School and follow a normal educational curriculum as well as a minimum of 10 hours per week of top quality traditional music study.
